Ministry of Hair FAQs

Q. Can I go blonde in one sitting?

A. This will all depend on the porosity of your hair and the build up of colour that you may have. We recommend you come in for a free consultation with one of our experienced stylists.

Q. What’s the difference between salon products and supermarket products?

A. You will find that most products that are in super markets contain high amounts of silicones and sulphates even though they claim to be sulphate and silicone free whereas our salon products contain less silicone and where states are 100% sulphate free. We also have products that help maintain the longevity of your colour.

Q. How do I keep my hair looking healthy without having a lot cut off each time?

A. We recommend you have your hair cut every 6 to 8 weeks as your hair grows on average 3/4 inch a month, this will keep split ends at bay?

Q. Why is the pricing different for each client?

A. This is all to the experience and the knowledge of each individual stylist.

Q. Will I need a skin allergy test?

A. All colour services require a skin test, a minimum of 48hrs before your hair appointment unless you already have a validated skin test record with us. Skin test records can not be transferred from another salon.

Q. Do I have to book my hair appointment weeks in advance?

A. We do sometimes have space available last minute however we do recommend your book your appointment 2-3 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. You can do this by either contacting us on 01267527777 or online.

Q. What happens if I’m unhappy with the service(i.e unhappy with cut/colour)?

A. We hope you’ll never be unhappy with your hair however we do warrant all of our cuts and colours for two weeks after the service is carried out. All you need to do is contact the salon and your stylist will be happy to rectify the issue and generally it is free of charge.

Q. Does the salon have parking?

A. We are in a pedestrianised area so we reccomend to park in the Westgate shopping centre which is within a 2 minute walking distance to the salon.
